I remember those Rohr motors/propulsion sounds from back then when it comes to seeing them depart and/or arrive to the next stop. You don't really get to hear those exact same motors like that years later since Metro eliminated the 1K/4K/5K-Series Trains.

I notice in this picture, the trailing cab door is opened to block off just the operator's console, and to provide access to the intercom at the rear of the car. For some reason these days, I do not see that anymore, and instead see the entire trailing cab blocked off.
